Refund When Limited

Hi,

My paypal account has been limited with a positive balance. I would like to refund one of my buyers, however, I see no way to refund the payment (no refund link) on the transaction details page since my account has been limited. What can I do ?

Also - if the buyer starts a dispute, will I then be allowed to issue the refund (assuming my balance is sufficient to cover the refund) ?

Usually they allow you to refund. Try giving it a few hours and check again.I do know once they open a dispute though, refunding is definitely one of the options there

even if you don't have a high enough balance you still have the option to withdraw from your bank account for a refund. Paypal automatically does this if your balance is not great enough to cover the refund.

the one really annoying thing i've found about paypal is that if you are not limited you have the option to take part of the refund out of your balance.

EG:
paypal acct with 30$ balance
make a refund for 40$
30$ from account and 10$ from bank

but if you're limited they'll just take the full 40$ out of your bank and not give you the option to use your balance. want your money all to themselves I guess.
