Exclamation Need some advice on 21 day holds and VCC on Paypal

Hey again everyone, I'm looking for some advice.

I'm currently selling digital products on eBay (yes I know I'm really not suppose to). I've had in the last day 27 payments of $9.99 received, 15 of which received the 21 day hold. The paypal account I'm using is 5 years old and I haven't received this many consecutive 21 day holds in such a short amount of time. (I've had zero claims filed and all of my customers have been happy). I do however have a claim open against a seller for $19.99.

Is this a sign I should stop using that paypal account for maybe a few weeks and let it "cool off"? Obviously paypal suspects something and is watching the account, so I'm thinking if I stop running so much money through it and let it sit for a few weeks they would lay off. Do you guys think that would help the situation?

My second question is, I just linked a Gift 2 Go visa gift card to another paypal account of mine. They want me to verify the gift card by supplying the 4 digit code. My problem is, when I go to gift2go.net and check the balance it only lists the following:

"8/23/2008 5:38 PM Purchase PAYPAL INC 402-935-7733 US -1.95"

The only possible 4 digit code I see in that is "7733", turns out that is actually a phone number for Paypal. How do I obtain the 4 digit code? I normally use simon gift cards and have had no problems in the past obtaining the code.

Also, what would be the cheapest way to ship out a CD containing the download link for my digital item. Normally I've just been patient with the 21 day hold and let it run out until the money is free, after which paypal stops giving me problems.

Thanks for viewing!

sounds like paypal has a thing for you.

Good luck!

Maybe call and tell them and ask for a supervisor

I would just stick with simmons it works fine for me. You can mail out a cd really cheap. I buy most of my supplies on ebay of course. Mailers and cd labels are cheap if you buy in bulk. I buy my blank cd-r disc from (big lots) I pay $9.99 for 50 cds. I always label my cds for the best impression. I refill my own ink cartridges to save on ink. I can send out a cd for usally $1.00 shipping cost and about .50 cents for the supplies.

With the gift2go cards you will get the line like you said:
"8/23/2008 5:38 PM Purchase PAYPAL INC 402-935-7733 US -1.95"

Wait usually 2 days and re-log into the credit card account.
The expanded use 4 digit number should appear in the place of that line.

I have had this happen to me a few times with that card.
And I have always gone back a few days later and it was there.

Did you load the correct user information on the card through the web site before you used it?
If not that might be the flag that popped up....
I am not really sure yet why it does it that way.

You usually have to wait 24 hours for the four digit number to appear. I've called and confirmed this with paypal. Now I know your paypal account is five years old but how feedback does your ebay account have?
