Question All my ebay accounts got suspended. HELP!!

all my 5 accounts were suspended in the same day. I regerstered those accounts 2 wks ago in Canada. please tell me which step may be hunted by ebay.

Phone- different prepaid sim card. new and clean numbers.
visa- different prepaid gift visa.
address- i found some address from internet randomly.
paypal- link to my different bank account.

I drove to residential area and log into different network without pin# to do following works------ regestered ebay account, paypal account, auctiva account, gmail account and generated auctiva token.

then I do all the listing at home by auctiva ( a suspended IP). never touched ebay and payal website and mails at home.

since then everything was fine and I had my first week sale completed.

after that I had my new BELL internet service set up.( coz I was told I could change IP by unplug the modem under BELL) and everytime be4 I go to ebay website, i will switch to different computer user, and also unplug the modem.

3 days later, all my accounts got suspended. 1 more thing I wanna mention is all the pictures posted were taken by the same camera, will that be linked by Ebay?

Well they were all linked to each other, so something there wasn't done right.

Did you use different user accounts for each eBay account? Or make sure to clear cookies, including flash objects before creating an account?

Each account had it's own PayPal account, yes?

What did eBay say when they suspended you? What excuses did they give you?

Hi Aspkin, each ebay/paypal/auctiva account is under different computer user account. Im not too sure if i clear all the cookies when I created the accounts. I just create computer user account then switch user and registered ebay account etc.
Each account are linked to its own paypal account.
in the mail ebay said MC183 FPA NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension - Section 9.
SECTION 9 again!!!!!! what is section 9 about? thanks Aspkin.

Section 9 just means you've been linked to a suspended account.

Are you items high risk VeRO, are they expensive, and did you change up the description of your auctions?

I dont think my items are high rish, each is around $100-150. and also many other ppl are selling this on ebay.

so Ebay said its section 9, so it should be nothing to do with VeRO? my understanding is if its VeRO, I could have 1 or 2 accounts survived.

Right well, just asking.

How many items did you list initially, and did you list on each account?

If the descriptions were similar that could of done it. Pictures, etc. And depending if your images were hosted on eBay or a 3rd party website.

Something linked you, it sounds like you did everything okay, other then list in a pattern and maybe too much for what you're selling.

Just take it slower next time, make sure to verify your ip address before working with a new account, etc.

Keep note of whatever you do, because any little miss up could link your accounts.

for the pictures, try to change the names and save them in your flash drive E: .
about the IP , i am not sure. they can track you via useragent also.

Descriptions would be tough wouldnt it? If you sell in a category like electronics so many people use the same standard listing formats to describe items. Pictures are generally just stock as well. I am not sure if you are in electronics or what but that would be really crazy if they linked by descriptions.

How fast is to fast when selling items $150 and up?

about the descriptions
I had 3 versions of description, for my 5 accout listing. and I also did some random change sometimes. so I think description wouldnt be my leak.

about the IP. I decide to drive around in residential area and searching for unsecure internet is my solution for now. (get rid of my seasonal products). this will work fine, right? heavy snow everyday!! :(

I still have ? on this issue. even after read a lot threads about the last 2 digits change. seems ppl are not too sure.

If I change to dial-up. is it more secure than the last 2 digits change?

Did you open any emails from ebay like the suspension notices? Those beacons shout back to ebay who you are.

Ever since I subscribed to AOL dial up I have no problems since it gives you different IP every time. It's worth 9.95 a month. I also switch windows user for every account ( this way no worry if I forget to clear the coockies or not)and this combination has worked great so far. I'd say AOL dial up, switching window users and Auctiva is the way to go.

Trying clearing all the data off the pictures with Exif Tag Remover, that way they can not connect it to any other account using the same camera.

Be sure your passwords are not the same.

Sounds like you were safe and the only thing that could have done it was the modem....but I am no expert, one of my accounts got suspended this morning :(
