Default Pay pal limited they need more information but don't say what ?

Quick question guys

Just logged onto a stealth account and pp has been limited . Really don't know the reason . Haven't purchased anything with it and haven't had any negative Ebay ??

Says " for reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal service we need more information about some money you recently received or withdrew.

In the email from PayPal it says "we've recently noticed an unusual pattern of activity on your PayPal account that could indicate high risk"
There is no bank attached and it has been building up money for a few months .

There is a good bit of money in it . Any ideas where to go from here . There have been no unusual patterns ??

Any help or advice would be great.

That is their bog standard comments ln we are reviewing you.

Describe the last couple of transactions....

Maybe amounts were not with range of other transactions.

Any buyers had non verified accounts?

Anything happen that would make pay pal suspicious?

No bank attached means you are not letting pay pal know you are trustworthy...

They do expect accounts to be verified and confirmed.

Hi GreenBeen, thanks for reply

The last couple of transactions have been between £8 and £30 maybey 8 a day.
its been that way for a few months.

Not shore about buyers and non verified accounts?

Nothing to make pay pal suspicious.

Yes the only thing is the no bank account. Didn't get round to it :(

I could understand if there was any suspicious activity or negatives from ebay or anything, but there is nothing?

I want to phone up as If this was a real account I would be going crazy.

But I have been told thats not the best thing to do and I should wait and see if they send me an email asking for something.

:(

Any help advice would be great peeps.

It would say on transaction details when you click the transaction whether the buyers address is confirmed, I wouldn't ever ship to non-confirmed addresses. PayPal can feel you are putting them at risk as well by doing this, not only yourself at risk of a financial loss.

If you've been limited and you don't have a bank attached becoming common for step 1 to be to 'Confirm bank account'

As GB says, most probably a review.

How old is the account from setup? How long you been trading on it?

Hi Vetus.

I would say the account is about 7 months old.
Trading for 4.

Sorry what do you mean by : If you've been limited and you don't have a bank attached becoming common for step 1 to be to 'Confirm bank account'

Do you think they will give me an option to do that?

If its a review do you have any idea what they will ask for id wise?

Thanks

Surprised your part 1 of the limitation doesn't say about CONFIRM BANK ACCOUNT (ALTERNATIVES AVAILABLE)

That is a nice alternative which has only started appearing more and more recently. They let you upload a copy of a bank statement instead of actually adding a bank account

That clears that part of the limitation.

Maybe it not because of the no bank added?
Maybe I can blag it and say I didn't add a bank because I wanted to save?
Who knows ..
Will see if they send me an email later

Did you ever send money between accounts (or other accounts) as gift payments or buy items from yourself for feedback from other accounts?

ok just phoned and had to hang up.
Was told i need to upload proof of address and ID .
I said I already had as this account was purchased with eu limit lifted I would have assumed the id would have been needed to lift the limit . waiting to hear back from seller.
But the guy was curious to why i would have uploaded id already?

You sure the limits were lifted?

Because yes you can only lift limits with id. I dont think the person you spoke to there had any clue.

Default Pay pal limited they need more information but don't say what ?

Well on the view limits page it will have all green ticks next to all that if the limits were lifted.

But you received 5k into the account so i doubt its the sellers fault why you got limited.

How long have you had the account for?

In no way am I saying its the sellers fault?
He's been great no problem with the seller , I was confused as the pp guy was confused as to why I have uploaded docs before.
Do i say to lift eu limit ? as I would have thought he would know that you need to upload docs to do that?

There is a blue arrow next to Confirm your personal information Review and confirm your account information .

Would that mean upload docs again?

Thanks for the help and info
