Default Suggestions on when to add my EIN

I am hoping that you guys will be willing to help me out with some suggestions.

I have one stealth account that has been running for about 75 days. I've sold 45 items or so, have excellent feedback and everything is in good standing. My total sales will probably not ever get close to $20,000 in 200 transactions. I am only aiming to have a single account, but would like to not have to worry about being limited to only 200 items.

I have a sole proprietor EIN ready to add to PP in order to verify the account.

Do you guys have experience to know if there is a better time to add the EIN than another? Should I wait until after 90 days, as that seems to be a milestone in terms of account trust? Is it better to add it before I receive the first request?

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I would keep that EIN for a rainy day.
No need to add until they actually ask for it and with your situation theres a good chance they wont ask for it because the dollar value will remain under the annual limit and that is the more important of the 2 conditions they place (200 items and $20,000).

I am a little interested in this too.

I had to add a EIN in November but it was done manually over the phone. Paypal is going threw ALOT of changes it seems like, to me at least with what I'm selling. I never added one after the first "request" for it.

I know after the second tax id request they limit you, but if you add it during the FIRST request are we still in okay zone? I guess it might be a little early in the year to ask.

I got asked for EIN and on the first request I was already limited and they wanted a SSN BEFORE a EIN could be added.

I have since been proactive and add the EIN's BEFORE Paypal asks for it. Especially If i know I'm nearing the 200/20k limit.

This has worked on 2 accounts so far. No limitations and im over 200 items sold on both.

Just my experience.
