I have a brand new account I bought (no sales yet at all, had it for about a week, just getting cookies set) - I just verified my bank account and everything is ready to go. I clicked the link to add money and it pulled up a page asking for my legal name, SSN, etc... is there a way I can deposit money into my PayPal account while bypassing this step? I was under the impression this info wouldn't be asked for until I near the $20K/200 limit.

PayPal will always ask for your legal name, SS # or EIN # (if business acc.) address etc. when you add money to it. Best way to go about it is to add a CC. This is the way I have done it and never had any problem.

Why deposit money into PP? Is it for a purchase? Use a CC.

Adding money from bank to paypal will require SSN. It's been like that as long as I can remember.
