Does anyone know how long es.ty keeps the 'banned' list? I was banned 18 months ago and was trying to figure out how to start up again. been reading this forum with a fine tooth comb and now with the direct checkout, having a h*ll of a time trying to figure out how to get back in. since stealth seems to be near impossible for Americans, does anyone know how long the 'banned' database is kept?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Getting set up in general. Trying not to use my child's SS#, and to use an EIN.

Unless they are successfully setting up outside the country, not sure how this works anymore?

At what point does et sy ask for ss#? Anyone know?
Opening up multiple shops would only work if you want to sell pre-made items. You could open up a store,
sell a bunch of pre-made items and then move on to another store once they ask for ss#.
If you are an artist or making your own items, this is impossible to do. Your items would be recognized.
SSN is asked for at signup of a new account now and not on the backend when you reach 200/20K. So if you been banned, you have to have a partner or other means.
Not sure why Etsy is going all strict, it's not like they're making money like Amazon or Ebay, they're losing negative .59 per share for crying out loud!

They ask for the last 4 digits of the social on signup.
I think that they are a sinking ship, personally. Things don't seem to be going well over there.
You have a reference/news article? My information is telling me everything is peachy. Granted, sales are slowing down a little bit from the holiday season (Just like everywhere else), but that's nothing that ambitious inventory expansion can't counteract.

I would say they are expanding, they are now offering websites.
