PayPal: we are unable to verify this card

Has anyone else had this error when adding the Vanilla Visa Gift Card? I have used them with no issues for almost two years, but today I bought one and got this error. I went back to the store and bought another, same error. Payapal will not let me add a vanilla visa.. I wonder what is up?

Have you registered the zip code on it? Check the back of the card for the site information to register it.

hey that worked! it just worked on the second card, but did not work on the first card i bought.. thanks! Did not used to do that, but hey whatever works..

the first card was a $25 (fixed price) gift card.. it did not work at all, even when registered.. The second card was the $20-500 gift card that i usually buy.. that one worked when i registered the zip code.

Thanks for the new info, I tried it with a 25 dollar card myself last week, didn't work. Mine was a 9/21 expiration, wondering if that has anything to do with it.
