Default Should I try to get re-instated?

I have an old 2006 account, 0 feedback but clean record. I'm not sure why it was suspended, but it def. wasn't due to being linked. I just got an e-mail from ebay asking to update cc info on the account, although I owe nothing and it's a suspended account. Is it worth the hassle to try and get re-instated? It's a pre 11/07 account.

Yes and No...

Yes if you want to use a merchant account with it.

Otherwise, why bother?

I would defiantly give it a shot. Wouldn't hurt and if you can get the account back and slowly build it up you would have a gooder!

IMHO,
Even if you're successfully running new stealth accounts, I's always a good idea, whenever possible to try to re-instate suspended accounts

If the suspended acct is reinstated, new accounts linked to it cannot be suspended any more, since they are not linked to a suspended acct.

I wouldn't USE the reinstated account, since it is probably forever flagged, and very brittle (could be suspended anytime again),
but leave it open, reinstated, to prevent future linking from hitting a suspended acct.

I use reinstated accounts to sell low risk items and buy stuff.
