My Paypal account is asking me for phone verification.

Hi guys,

I am really in-panic right now.

Usually, I logged my Paypal into my PC but recently I try to log this using my iphone. What's the bad part? The only number that I include into my account is expired, so I can't use that to verify my identity.

Now, everytime I logged-in I am directed into the phone number verification page.

My question is, will adding a new number can solve my problem? I am more comfortable on the text message verification.

Base on your experience, after I verify the text message, will it go back to normal? While being logged into my iphone?

This is why it is very important you make sure you have 'active' numbers on your account at all times. It's one of the most common methods ebay and paypal use to verify it is you logging in / withdrawing etc.

Spoof is for outgoing calls, is it not? For incoming texts (for verification) surely you will need the actual number?

Oh and OP, another option would be using bluestacks to emulate an android device, and logging in with the Paypal app. This has recently been confirmed to eliminate some verification messages.

I'm very careful about my stealth methodology so I've never run into a text verification like this. I had an incident a few months ago where I needed to attach new bank accounts to 3 Paypals which I no longer had the number for, and I successfully did so by spoofing my number.

OP may be able to call Paypal with a spoofed number and convince them they can't receive texts. Slim chance, but it could work. I was just putting that out there since OP does not have many options at this point.
