ebay chargeback address did not matched paypal

Hi i sold a pair of trainers on ebay and posted them to the ebay address Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class the person has signed for them but just got a paypal chargeback i have just cheked the ebay and paypal address and they did not matched the address i posted to was the ebay one not paypal and i have proof of delivery will this be ok if i send this as my evidence or should i have posted it to the paypal address

You should always check the address in PayPal to make sure you have the right details. You say you have the Royal Mail signed for receipt and the right person has signed for the item so that is ideal, but this chargeback is not because the buyer is claiming they have'nt received it, what does it say on the chargeback details as the reason for the buyer starting a chargeback?

You need to send to the paypal address to be covered.

You can try explaining what's happened to paypal but I doubt they take the hit for you.

We're writing to let you know that one of your buyers opened a chargeback with their card issuer. The buyer stated that they did not authorise this purchase

It is the named buyer who signed for the delivery is it or a relative of theirs? If so you have as you say your receipt for the signed for delivery to upload to PayPal to prove they accepted and received it.

Did you check that the ebay info matched paypal for item delivery?

Have you reached out to the buyer? Happens sometimes a minor uses the card without parental OK.
