Default Cookie and browser question.

Was wondering if I had 2 accounts could I access one through IE and the other through Firefox?

I'm assuming that IE's cookies go into a different folder than FF so if you visited EB through FF, exited all browsers, reset the modem to change your IP and then went back into EB through IE you wouldn't have to constantly be clearing your cookies which in my case is a pain because I go to a lot of sites and forums that are for registered users and re-entering login info everytime will really get to be a pain.

I could easily have 3 computers running here at home, this method would allow me 6 different accounts without always having to clear cookies.

BTW, at this point I can't really see having more than 2-3 accounts...only to have an active one and 2 or 3 in reserve for when the inevitable happens.

I guess it would work if you changed your IP address between accounts. IE doesn't use the same cookies as Firefox and using them for different accounts will work okay. I do that all the time with other things other then eBay.

A lot easier just unplugging the modem for a couple of minutes.
I imagine additional browsers could be added for additional accounts...to ao point.

After giving it a little thought I think that I was missing the obvious.

Use only firefox when visiting ebay and only use firefox for ebay and if running more than one account clear only the firefox cookies between logins.
