Default BBVA compass Bank

SO after finding some threads about this bank, I decided to open a few accounts. I received two deposits and now they are calling me asking who this person is. Has anyone else used them and gotten that call?

Some other member today wrote about BBVA compass bank as well today - trying to find it - he had 3 accounts - all 3 took microdeposits but 1 ended up getting kicked off the Paypal platform.

@Break, the bank is calling you? Seems like they looked at the name on the deposits if so...

Yesh they called me and I missed it, so I called back. The guy said he wasn't totally sure, but the notes said something about the deposit not being in my name...which is weird because it's a PayPal business account, so the name doesn't typically show up. I said it was a friend's business who owed me me money.

why use these problematic banks? Are you using one of the prepaid? If so, expect funds to get held or reversed eventually.

A business account won't necessarily save you from the personal name being passed on to the bank.

If you added your bank account before you upgraded to a business Paypal account, then the personal name Paypal has on file is passed on to the bank when withdrawing. And the opposite is true as well -- if you added the bank account after you upgraded to a business Paypal account, then whatever business name you gave to Paypal is what they pass on to the bank account when withdrawing.

For the record, others on this forum have reported mismatch names work, which is why I signed up. It is not a prepaid card, but an actual bank.

So to confirm, others have said it worked with mismatched names, however they just closed all my accounts because of it. Stay away.

What do you suggest I do? I spoke to different people and everyone is an ahole there. I managed to get most of the money out through a bank to bank transfer, so there was technically $50 in the accounts. I did have some other withdraws from Paypal to the bank that should get rejected now.

No, but there was $700 in it that I got out before all this, in fact luckily only hours. I do have pending withdraws totaling another $600 that should, I guess, get rejected.
