Activity: 0% Longevity: 45% | | Suspended for 30 days for duplicate listings - what is the next punishment?
I'm not going to rant about how unjust the entire situation is, but the situation is that I'm now suspended from putting up new listings for 30 days due to duplicate listings (not intentional, just human error). I'm wondering what is the next punishment after the 30 days? I'm afraid that I might make another mistake and they will find a duplicate listing up for a moment and suspend me indefinitely or whatever the next stage/step is. What's after 30 days? 45 days? 90 days? Ban forever?
I can't live in fear so I figure I need to get my stealth knowledge up to par just in case things take a turn.

No one can be 100% certain I am afraid.
It is possible that you would be perm limited if it happened again, although I would say unlikely for a second offence.

First offense was a "warning" but I never received anything of that sort. The second time I got suspended for 7 days. Now this is the third time. 30 days.
It's probably because I'm using Auctiva. If you have GTC items up then when the 30 days are up, it gets re-listed automatically by eBay but also it shows up as a closed listing in Auctiva. I've been playing with fire by trusting Auctiva's end.

According to eBay's T&A, on the next offense you had agreed to "Seppuku".
The ceremonial disembowelment, which is usually part of a more elaborate ritual and performed in front of spectators, consists of plunging a short blade, traditionally a tantō, into the abdomen and drawing the blade from left to right, slicing the abdomen open.

I'm surprised they suspended you for 30 days, seems a little harsh. Did you have previous violations on the account?
I had this happen recently, though the duplicate listing was removed, I was warned and all else remained the same. I didn't push my luck to try it again to see what happened, but I learned from my mistake and moved on.

Next offence would likely be a perm limitation so you have to be careful from now on

I was so indulged in bjammin's post I skipped the one you said it was your 3rd violation.
Without a doubt the next time this happens your selling priviledges are gone.
They warned you, gave you a 7 day suspension, and now 30 days. That tends to be the usual sequence when you go against their Terms of use. I know its harsh, but you we're warned, twice. I think its fair.

You should really start reading T&As more carefully | haha, yeah but it was a careless error on my part. I don't try to duplicate listings at all. nothing intentional. spoke with ebay and they said they only review recent offenses within the last 90 days.. so I just have to be EXTRA cautious about these errors for the 60 days after my suspension is lifted.
I'm not sure what happens if you screw up after those 90 days though. Probably another 30 days.

| This isn't true, I've had 4-5 30 day bans on some accounts for something else, some stuff I don't think they'd perm ban for atall.
@OP probably not worth the risk though, lets not pretend you're doing by mistake lol, just do that with a different account and keep this one clean.
If you leave it for a few weeks/months then it should reset and go back to a 1-3 day ban, mine do for something else but yours might not though lol
