Just came along here after receiving a scary email from Amazon. Seems like there are a lot of people concerned over their accounts. Years ago, I got a lifetime ban from Google Adwords. I lost everything. House, had to move etc. I'm hoping the same thing is not happening again.

Thanks guys. Yes, eggs in one basket...But Amazon is the 800lb gorilla in the ecommerce space. I went on the ASM course. Invested heavily in time, effort, education and stock for this business. Its a shame it can all hinge on one complaint from a customer. Seems crazy!
Is the Amazon Ghost thing safe? I mean can you base an entire business on it? I am a private labeller if that makes any difference.
Amazon Ghost works well for account setup - like any amazon account, you should get a few going as backups because you can never be 100% safe with Amazon, any way you slice it

That is exactly what happened with my original Amazon account, and nope, it wasn't the usual item not received or not as described, it was something as petty as 'I did not provide a VAT invoice' to a customer - When I wasn't and could not have been at the time VAT registered.
So Amazon sided with the customer after endless debates, and I came to realise the customer holds the reigns over your fate as a seller on Amazon.
Since then, I no longer sell on Amazon as much as other platforms. So they lost themselves a customer - not that they care.
