Default Need help with advice ASAP

Hello, got 1 of my Etsy accounts suspended today looks like they looked where the items are shipped from and where I log in to Etsy account from (I'm using the VPS from other state like 600 miles from where I ship from). I need help with the advice how to explain that
here are 2 messages from Etsy team
My name is Jason, and I'm the Shipping Support Specialist with Etsy. I'm reaching out because we have received notification that some of your packages are being returned to sender to an address which now belongs to another person. It sounds like the return address on your labels is no longer correct.

To correct this, you can also edit the return address on your labels by going to Your shop > Orders > Shipping labels. Click on the "Options" tab and make any necessary changes. Be sure to save at the bottom when you're finished.

If you would like, I can also provide your contact information to this other person so they can reach out to you to arrange return of these packages. If so, could you please provide the best form of contact information for you and let me know that it's ok to provide this information to this other person?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

I reply :
Hello, can you please give my email to that person or give me the email of that person.Thanks

Then in 2 hours I got suspended here what they wrote

This is West from Etsy's Marketplace Integrity team. Thank you for your interest in selling on Etsy.

It has come to my attention that some of the financial and shipping information you entered during the operation of your Etsy account is inconsistent with your account history and activity.

In the Etsy marketplace we require you to accurately represent yourself, your business, and your items. After a close review, we’ve found your shop to potentially have the following issues:

Inaccurately representing the size, scale, and location of your business, as well as your role in it

Not disclosing the people who help make your items or run your shop

For this reason, Etsy has elected to suspend your account privileges.

In order to reconsider your account status, I'll need to get some information about the billing address and shipping addresses you entered as well as an explanation addressing the inconsistencies as to where you are accessing your account from.

In the meantime, please do not open any other accounts on Etsy; they will be closed immediately and without notice.

I look forward to hearing back from you about this issue.

Anyone ? this issue can hurt many people as they started matching Etsy accont log in location vs where items are shipped from

Are you using their shipping labels? Cause I can't figure out how they know where you ship from?

Yes i'm using their shipping labels. There is a tracking number so they can check it easy on USPS website. The question is how to explain this so I can keep that account rolling

Honestly, not a clue. My first thought was to lie and say you recently moved and still had a box at your prior location that forwarded your mail.

I use Endicia and never upload tracking to Etsy, I just email it direct or upload to paypal if it's one of my international stealths.

this account is like 10 month old and has 400+ sales

Maybe to tell them that I moved to other location when I opened a shop but still log in from that computer through remote desktop connection ? souds silly
or just to tell them that I'm using a VPS for security reasons but I don't thing it's a good idea

Hate to say it but I highly doubt this account is saveable.

It sounds like the guy "West" who contacted you in the 2nd email was basically rubbing the fact they caught you in your face. It's a shame Etsy has a zero-tolerance policy for stealth accounts. They could make so much more money by letting stealthers do their thing.

I think your only chance of saving this account would have been to give a well thought out explanation for these inconsistencies after the first email. The one line response you gave the guy was the nail in your coffin. You sounded shady.

first message was saying
"My name is Jason, and I'm the Shipping Support Specialist with Etsy. How they can even receive a notification? I don't think the real people how live at the address I gave to etsy called Etsy and complained. If there was a package it would just go to a post office as unclaimed

If I just tell them like this. I lived at that address before but now I live at the state I ship from and I have been using VPS for a security reasons ....
what do you guys think ?

I guess that would be your only hope, but I don't think they will fall for that.

For that to be half believable, you would have needed to start shipping your orders from wherever your VPS is a long time ago.

If they did let you back on it would almost certainly be on a probationary basis. So they would quickly shut you back down if you just carried on as you were.

They can shut down every stealther like this. The question is why they even looked at this particular account. Like the first message was saying they received a notification that the address I gave belongs to the other person and people were trying to return items and it didn't work out. I just looked over all sales and messages and all items were delivered and no one wanted to return anything or get a refund. All of these sound strange to me

I have addresses on other accounts in different parts of the country that running for almost for 2 years without a problem. And I read on the forum here that it has not been an issue before that's why I did everything that way

Gotcha....In Etsy, are you allowed to change the "Ships from" location?

Yes and it's useless. They do not have the authority to make any changes to your account.
They will just advise you to email support through the email they sent you.

So if your stealth account address is across the country, cant you use a VPN that states you are in or around your stealth address? When a customer wants to return an item, have them return it to a friend or family member in that state? and have the return shipped to you later? idk.

It was a mistake to use their shipping labels, you really have to be careful with everything you do on stealth. Et.sy is delicate and the slightest thing can highlight your account.

Not sure what it's like for other countries but their call support is next to useless. They will try their hardest to pass it off to an email reply and then just fob you off with a copy and paste response.

I would suggest not putting more energy into salvaging this and instead look to move onto your next account. Sadly they are not interested in helping so will not want further issues arising from your account.

Wow etsy did an IP-state and address match it seems...somehow the buyers or (maybe) the actual owner of that address tipped them off. Seems you just got a bit unlucky OP.
