Default First unautorised chargeback

Royal mail tracking shows delivered and signed.
Why is the buyer doing this when it shows delivered?

I could just refund him i'm bit afraid if they check my acc manually.

These chargebacks are a major hassle. I get a few of them every week. Lately I've just been selecting that I will accept liability. For the relatively cheap orders I usually get this type of chargeback on, it's not worth paying Paypal their fee to dispute for you. They charge you $20 to dispute the chargeback whether you win or lose.

You'll have to determine if it's worth having them dispute this for you. It depends on the amount being disputed. The tracking number will help you win, but Paypal is still gonna charge you.

Yes. And if I were you, that's what I would do for a $20 order.

It's a crappy thing for Paypal to do and I didn't notice them doing it until just recently. Win or lose, they still charge you for the time it took their staff to dispute your chargeback. So if you disputed and lost, you'd be out of $40 instead of $20. If you disputed and won, you would literally be breaking even because Paypal would take that $20 right back from you.

If they've already initiated a chargeback with their credit card company, I'm not sure if they would be able to just call in and cancel the chargeback. It's worth a shot though. That would be much easier than trying to dispute it.

No, you have nothing to worry about. The case will stay open until a Paypal rep gets the chance to review it.

I've had a few instances where I accepted liability and Paypal said I was covered by seller protection and ate the loss for me. So, that's possible. That's part of the reason why I think it's better to just accept liability on small orders rather than paying Paypal to dispute for you.

Hm they still charged me 20$ fee.

Disputed amount: 19 GBP

The disputed amount has now been debited from your PayPal account because of the following reason(s):

Per your response, you accepted liability for this chargeback.

In addition, a 20,00 USD chargeback fee has been applied to and debited from your PayPal account.
