Default Cost Effective Plan For Phones

All this info is probably spread out through out the forum but I thought I'd share the most cost effective way I've found to keep your numbers with multiple stealth accounts and not have 10 phones...

I set up all my info for the stealth: name & address
Create a user account on my computer with this info including G-mail account.
Buy a One Vanilla Visa or Master Card pre-paid card and set up zip code.
Buy a (GSM unlocked phone) from eBay. $30 or less. Preferably one without a camera.

Then buy a "pay as you go" sim card from T-Mobile. They have deals frequently for $3.99 other wise they're $20, I'd wait. The card comes with 30mins of talk or text and 30 days. Refills for 30mins of talk or text & 30 days are $3.99

When you go to pay, use all the stealth info. (make sure the zip is set up on the pre-paid card 1st.) it says billing address must match billing address on statement but its BS. Only the zip code has to match.

Then select "ship to different address", using your address or one you have access to.

Pay with the Vanilla Visa or Master Card.

This way you save $9 a month compared to tracfone and you only have multiple sims, not 7 tracfones sitting around like I have right now.

This way you only need to buy the Visa which is $24.95 if you load the minimum.

Hope this saves someone some $....

I meant to say save $9 every 90 day cycle compared to tracfone.

It works but ebay can call you at any time, a number needs to be active at all times if you want the account to survive.

The number still rings like normal and sends you to voice mail if the sim isn't in the phone and if they send a text you still get it when you put the sim in. I would assume it's normal for someone not to answer the phone for a number they don't know or if they're busy.

I've been called by ebay before and suspended. I would have been better prepared if I didn't answer and called in when I got their message. I would say a majority of the time if ebay's calling, there's no way talking your way out of it.

I put the sim in the phone every time I go to use that ebay account and don't take it out until i go into the next account.

If I'm missing something please tell me...
I love being wrong, because then I can improve.

I'd say the phones are more for PayPal than ebay, as you said, if Ebay is calling you aren't talking your way out of it. I have never been called once by Ebay.

Just want to add this info in here so this T-mobile sim setup is complete with all the info.

On tracphone you can get your paypal balance at anytime by texting BAL to the short code paypal provides with no added fee, only mins are deducted from your tracphone.

T-Mobile pay-as-you-go costs 10 cents per text to the paypal short code to get your balance. In order to do it you need to add a $10 top up card (which is the lowest card they sell) and add it to your account by dialing *611 You can also add money by credit card by dialing *233 but they may ask too much info.

They will deduct 10 cents off that card per text to short codes. They will also take the $3 off the card when your monthly service is up for another 30 days of service. I know the text to short codes part is 100% correct from experience because the rep added a dollar to my account and the text to short codes now works. The monthly service part I was told by a T-mobile rep and I haven't tried it yet but it sounds correct.
