Default Monthly Release Limit REVERTING On Business Account??

Has anyone had an issue with monthly release limits on business accounts somehow magically reverting back to a smaller amount? Opened a new business account last month, got the automatic $100 release limit from the start. Submitted the request for an increase and got bumped up to $500. Just listed some items for sale this month, got about $75 worth of payments and everything was fine. Just received another payment ($30) and it bumped my account balance to $105. I received an automated email from Paypal that said "the way you receive money is changing" blah blah...the usual email they send in the first place. It said my release limit is $100 and if I want to bump it up, request an increase. Well, I can't request an increase because it hasn't been 30 days since my last increase. On top of that, the release limit page indeed shows I have a $100 limit....but at the bottom, it still shows that I requested an increase last month and was approved for $500 release limit. Anyone else run into this issue??

To recap....opened account, got $100 release limit. Request increase, bumped it up to $500. This month, sold items, it acts like I never requested an increase or anything and now shows $100 release limit again.

Yep, all the time. It seems to happen if your payments fluctuate too much and PayPal doesn't like what they see.. it's a weird system.

The more I push an account the higher the limits seem to go.. which is nice. It also seems to depend how well the account was created and it's location.

There are a lot of factors at play.

Well the ebay account had a 5/500 limit to start. I sold that in a couple days last month...about 60 bucks worth and 4 transactions because one buyer bought 2 things. Had to wait until this month to list more. Listed about 4 days ago and got 4 more payments fine. Then today got the 5th payment and it put the balance at 105 bucks or so. These arent high risk items at all. Really low risk, under 30 dollar sales. No reason for them to give suspicion.

Called Paypal about it and the minions were clueless....two different people told me that it doesn't even show in the system that it was ever bumped to $500. Seriously...? Talked to a supervisor and even they "couldn't change the release limit", but instead passed it to yet another department to see if they could figure out what happened. Such a stupid system, and even more stupid that I have the emails and proof right there on the payment release page, yet it doesn't even show in their system that I ever got an increase? Laughable.

Applied for my stupid "increase" since it had been 30 days since I last applied....even though it approved me for $500 last time and for whatever reason went back to $100 now. Well, it didn't approve me...so now my limit is still at $100 and I've sold over $400 this month. Not sure what the hell they expect you to accomplish by only allowing you $100 of your freakin money.

It's NOT like a personal account where you get your money 3 days after delivery...you literally have to wait an ENTIRE 21 days from the time you get the payment, if you have surpassed the measly $100 limit. Nobody else has had this happen?

No, I created the Paypal as a business account from the beginning. They normally send you an email after you receive $75 worth of payments and say that you will have a monthly release limit of $100....you can then "request an increase" which will bump you to $500. This means the first $500 of your payments each month are available immediately....anything above $500 is held for 21 days REGARDLESS if the item is delivered or not. Well, for whatever reason I was approved for a $500 limit last month and then this month they put it back to $100. It's finally been 30 days since my last increase request, so I requested again...denied. Stuck at $100. Another one of my accounts got reverted back to $100 as well, but I am not selling on that one this month, so I am not worried about it right now.

Just focus on selling 10 new accounts then after you get them past the 90 day deal you can have all the incoming payment you want .. I always wondered why so many people try to upgrade just to get all these problems like ssn request to fast .
