Default I have bought a New eBay account, but!!!

I got suspended for 30 days from eBay for feedback manipulation and eBay removed all my feedback, I just purchased an eBay account from a local seller for $400 and she has over 2500 positive feedback with 100% rating. My questions is if I use the account in a separate computer with a different IP address can eBay still find out that the account got purchased and block my account? I sell high end items that run around $3,000 each.

Please if you have any suggestions let me know...

Ebay will see you don't have flash cookies or cookies. I would highly recommend you make a new user account on the computer account you are going to be using unless you have never used it with Ebay before. You might also be required to do a phone verification since you don't have the cookies. If your going to convert the registration info to your info, I would wait a while after you start selling on it to raise as little flags as possible.

The reason for a phone verification is to verify you are really the owner of the account and to make sure it didnt get hacked. Since you've never logged onto the account on your new computer, it has no flash cookies stored. This to ebay can look like its been hacked so they call and verify your the owner of the account by giving you a 4 digit code.

If I change the Email address and the phone number right away, would that raise a Flag? also is it legal to purchase an ebay account and use it under your name if you are not suspended?

arminzol, what is going on with you? In this thread
http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-su...l-account.html
you tell the forum you have made a stealth account. You get answers & advice. Now the story is you have paid for an account that you have no clue how to use. What exactly stopped you from listening the advice in the first thread and saving your money? The questions are a repeat. The answers will be a repeat.
I hope you have not wasted your money but I suspect you have. Look into acquiring the Stealth Book which you can get free. Don't touch OR change a thing on that brought account at this stage. Flags will go up, the account will likely go down.

Even if you dont change a thing its highly likely you will be asked to do the phone verification when you try to list with the message about ebay doesnt recognise your computer. Get a phone number on the account which you can answer which has not been used on another account

If I change the phone number on the account, do I need to do a phone verification on the new phone or the old phone number? Also should I change the email address on the account right away also?

ebay keeps track of all old information too. Make sure you copy all of the information on the account before you change anything. They do ask you for it sometimes. I had them ask for my original phone number about a month after I changed to a new number.

Not too sure, paypal may get suspicious if they see all of this information suddenly changing. I might be better to have a fresh account where none of this information has been input yet.

i would advise you to change your address first (thats more important than card info).. after maybe 3 weeks or so, or if you ever plan to buy something, just add click on add new card, i think it will lessen their suspicion rather than just changing card info out of the blue

The reason that I need to change or remove paypal and credit card information on the eBay account is because I'm buying the account from a total stranger locally and they don't want me to have their paypal and credit card information when I buy the account. I'm not looking to purchase anything I would only be selling. Any advice...

I know you think it is great to be able to buy that account with all that FB.
BUT you really have a chance of getting the account suspended when you
start to change the information.
To give you some background that might help B4 you spend the money.
Some people offer to sell these sorts of accounts. They get brought & the money is exchanged. Then when the new user signs into the account, there are ebay alerts all over it. The account is NOT workable.
In one of your other posts you said you had made a stealth account, this is really a better way to proceed. YOU control everything and you should be able to trust yourself.

I do not want to offer advice as I truly think you will lose the account & money

yeah accounts with Feedback origianly contains flash cookies and when it sold and a new user uses them it looks to ebay as if it was highjacked! When u buy new freashly made accounts or make them then you dont have this to worry about.

I think that the account numbers are not fully displayed even to account owner. They read something like *********5678, right? So, the person that sold you account would not need to worry about you having access to his information. The same thing with PayPal...

Lyda, I think the person who sold the account would be more worried about arminzoll purchasing something with their crdit card or bank account.

Lakeman, I would never sell an account with more than five bucks in that checking or credit card, so again, I don't get it why the original owner worries about the new owner having those accounts? But, if he/she indeed has thousands in those accounts and sold account for only $400......Well, that's stupid and he/she may deserve to lose it.

Hey, you know I really don't mean that

I agree, but the account could be over drafted or the credit card charged. The original owner of the account should just close the bank account and credit card and then quit worrying about it! lol
