crappy logos

why do the chinese like to put crappy writing over their products?

I see well priced items and then I say to them that I would prefer it plain/generic, do you have these, and they reply oh no, we just have stupid mis-spelled english word, stupid logo, or stupid for no reason letter/initials options....

plus with some stuff, they mess up the box or instructions with bad english words or spelling- just leave it plain......what, do they think they will make more money by 'branding' it than generic? would you rather have a rash vest plain no logo, or with kingdudu written on it? (sorry forum user kingdudu)

I have run into the same problem, depends on how many items you buy. I have successfully bought a relatively large purchase plain with no logo. If you are dealing with factory they do not have problem. Resellers do. In Hong Kong around all the factories are numerous shops selling stuff the factory make, some are seconds and some are over produced items. That is why the price varies between suppliers.

yes I know about factories direct, but I buy from re-sellers mainly, as I am not a big buyer...I just do not get why they think sh1t writing makes the product better...

I think they may do it to avoid being sued. Some Chinese company ripped off one of my designs... badly. I've never been so flattered, but at the same time looking at the abomination they created is hilarious, and apparently people are buying it too. But I imagine its been altered enough that they assume I couldn't take them to court over it.

Is it really impossible? I mean for even the big companies like Microsoft and such?

But yeah, I mean when you can get such high quality phakes I don't understand how there are Chinese companies turning out such poor poor... erm.. "copies" ?

They have no taste at all. So if you want to do something - just get it unbranded, and put your own logo.

no no, this has nothing to do with copyright, this is on a shirt or a beach towel.... they are messing up a perfectly good product, it puts off buyers as they dont want fufongfuc written on it for nothing....
