Paypal asking for SS# after upgrading and adding EIN

I upgraded to a business account once I hit around 100 sales to avoid triggering them asking for info. This am, when I log in it asks for my SS#. Why would it be doing this if I've already provided my EIN and business info?

I planned to stop short of 200 transactions this year to avoid the 1099 but no way i can avoid it next year so how do I get past this or avoid it on my other accounts?

Same issue here. I started with a personal account and upgraded to a business account with a real EIN. Paypal was cool with that. Now all of a sudden they won't let me withdraw more than $1000 per month and are saying that if they don't get my SSN they will restrict my account even more. THEY ARE SET UP TO REPORT TAXES BASED ON THE EIN NUMBER. WHY DO THEY NEED MY SSN IN ADDITION?!

That's what I was thinking was the case and it was pretty scary. I called PayPal though and they said it was just a glitch and fixed it for me because they already had all they needed from the EIN.
