Default Sales gone down in DEC?

Hi am i on the same boat as everyone where sales have gone down a lot during DEC? Usually this is the sort of period that I get a lot of sales of.

But it seems that this year has gone very quiet

I find that after the 10th of the month things start slowing down.
Im guessing that people are done with their Christmas shopping and either have less to spend or are reluctant to buy online for fear that they get whatever they bought as a gift in time for the holidays.

Not me my sales are almost going to fast for me to keep up. I suggest expanding your categories or run sales or offer expedited shipping for Christmas.

depends what you sell...there are some things that sell better in January....like weight loss
devices!

often actually you can get a boost in November with early shoppers and it trails off in Dec, but it depends on your competition and what you sell too.......

I sell on 6 marketplaces including Ebay Amazon and etsy My sales are way down this December compared to recent years.

My Amazon sales are simply down because I can no longer sell in most of the categories that I was allowed to before and I think Amazon is going to continue to make it harder to sell certain brands and specific types of goods (especially electronics, media, high vero risk items )

Beyond that, everybody might want to keep in mind that this election chaos is probably having a detrimental effect on sales numbers too.

I think you are right my sales have been down the entire holiday season. eBay has been very disappointing the past year. You are not alone my other eb friends not on this forum say the same thing and having to drastically lower prices to maintain the lowest of sales. I also think Fiend.Tone is correct about the election causing sales to drop.

You've got Post Office strikes starting in the UK shortly (prior to the 25th), most probably whats deterring online purchases.

Note - Royal Mail isn't on strike, but I can imagine the two confusing people.

December is traditionally the best month of the year for most sellers... but I have noticed a slight decline after the elections. Maybe there is uncertain in the air? Higher gas prices in the US doesn't help. People have their gifts already? Or is it just your account?

Lots of variables, none of it good I suppose.
