Adding EIN
Hi, I am in a pretty unique situation. I was permanently banned from paypal back in 08 or 09 (don't remember) for selling items which were against their policy which lead my to a permanent ban from PayPal. So fast forward to about 2010, I switched to a new internet provider, built a new computer, new bank account etc... (I did not do this because of paypal, I did this because I had too for other reasons).
So I decided to create a new paypal using all of same information including address & name of my banned account because I needed to by items on ebay and ebay kind of made me make the paypal account and I forgot I was banned on paypal and used the same info (excluding bank, debit card), fast forward to now I still have the same ebay account and the same paypal account (which I upgraded to a business account about 5 years ago) and never experienced any problems.
I started a shopify store and I know I'll be doing at the very least X,XXX sells a month. Despite having my paypal account for over 7 years, I've never added my SSN (don't want it to be linked to my old account) nor have I ever added an EIN (which is what I want to do before paypal asks).
The company name I have on my paypal is what I plan on registering and getting an EIN for.
I just wanted to know, is their anything I should be aware of? The paypal account is aged (over 7 years) I've spent and received thousands of dollars through out the year without a hitch. Would adding an EIN screw things up?
Best Regards (And Happy New Year)
