Wish you the best of luck. I would recommend changing the logo scheme. It looks TOO much like eBays logo. Exact color and style. Save yourself the trouble of having ebay coming after you saying you stole their logo.

The Design of the website is not professional and the fonts are big.
try to get a clone of some of the famous auction websites.

First, I think the site looks good.

(Simon - please offer well thought out constructive criticism. Simply saying a site is not professional is not specific and difficult to take seriously. Please try to provide detailed recommendations.)

Second, whenever I ran a Google search on the site name, there were hardly any results. Likewise, I would suggest some SEO work and advertising. You might look at "auctionbytes.com" This site can provide some good promotion, if you can persuade them to write an article.

Overall, it is a good start...

I am working day and night to make ebanza a user friendly hub for all us e-sellers to make a home and build thier seller reputation -

I am open to constructive criticism and as of right now - ebanza is still a work in progress - I am constaintly struggling to make the site feel more conforable to the user - and I myself am still not satififed with every part of the site

The header is something that I am tweaking and trying to bring to a Web 2.0 look and feel along with other parts of the site

I am also working on seller RSS feeds so that sellers can easily post their items live on their website, blog, myspace, facebook, twiter ect

I also have a flash scroller that I am goig to give everybody for free that you can feed your RSS feed into and create an auctiva like scroller for your auctions!!!

Also Happy to annonce Our first Google Base Feed went live last night - so if you search google base for ebanza you will find all our auctions and All the items on ebanza are also searchable by their individual keywords as well!!!

My goal here is not to milk the sellers - The site is going to remain completely FREE - I only wanna make a place where sellers can make a home for themselves and build thier seller reputation & online empires on a level playing field - With out the fear of suspention

I have dedicated all of my time into this project and I just hope everyone appriciates and understands what I am trying to do -

If anybody has any ideas for the site and any ways they think it would be better than please voice them so that we can make ebanza a great place to buy and sell!

It looks better there are little things here and there that are a put off.

For example, when you see an item image.. the yellow background makes the site look tacky.

Also add a mission statement or a basic what the site is about somewhere.

When someone first visits the site.. they might not know what it's about.

Tell people and direct them to do what you want them to do.. like sign up .

Instead of Linking to the Login page... link to the register page..

Work on your graphics a little, make them a little more pro.. I have a graphics designer that can maybe help you out for pretty cheap, send me a PM.

also working on centering some pages.. with large resolutions.. the site looks odd.

good luck,

I applaud your efforts..

In my opinion the design is not up to par..seems a bit cluttered..I belive what the guy meant when he mentioned the ebay cloen script was to have it more orginized like ebays interface

how many actual sales have you had?

when I looked at a few items in different catagories, they are only from a handful of sellers, the feedback is just cloned and exactly the same wording in a row all the way down and it is mainly given by other sellers on the site.
I know you are just jump starting it but it doesnt look professional to do that

I am just testing the site - it is coming to look and feel alot difrent in a day or two - The site has on been up about 3-4 weeks and I have to start from scratch because I was changing thing and not testing them first - I just sold a shirt today from a Google Base customer - completely non ebay related for a change - he sent me an email first to ask me if I still had it and I aswered him right away letting him know the site its a scam and he paid with Google Checkout -

I have held off on sending invitations to my ebay customers at this point because I am still tweaking the site and I wouldn't wanna make a bad impression on a customer - But once it is done I have about 1000 invited from my last seller account that need to be sent - I am gonna have a bulk email sender like that - you can import your email accounts and address books from gmail - aol - yahoo and a bunch of other sites

they will then be stored in your "Customer DataBase" on the My ebanza page and you will be able to send a bulk email to all your customers every time you post a new item on eBanza - unless the customer opts out of recieving your auction new - you will be able to grow your "Customer Base" more and more with time and import adress books from new email account when ever you want!!!!

AGAIN THE SITE IS BETA

I AM TESTING STUFF OUT - YOU CAN FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT NOW AND WHEN THE SITE IS OPEN OFFICIALLY AND OUT OF TESTING YOU WILL GET AN EMAIL TELLING YOU ABOUT ALL THE NEW FEATURES

THE SITE LOOK AND FEEL IS GONNA CHANGE ALOT AND YOUR GONNA BEABLE TO TELL THE DIFRENCE ONCE IT IS DONE!!!!!

THANKS EVERYBODY FOR BEING PATIENT AS I CODE OUR WAY TO FREEDOM

eBanza.com NO LISTING FEES!!!! NO EVIL!!! POWER TO THE SELLERS!!!!
