Exclamation Sending a refund via eCheck?

So I just got back from vacation, and before I left I sold everything I had in stock so that I didn't have to worry about orders while I was gone.

I also withdrew all funds from my PayPal so that I would get paid while I was on vacation.

I returned today to find a customer requested a return, and I granted the return and issued a refund.

Because my PayPal balance was $0, I believe this is why it sent the refund in the form of an eCheck.

Is this bad? Will it link me in any way?

Thank you very much in advance for any input.

Hoping this doesn't cause an issue.

Technically speaking it shouldn't be an issue as long as you have funds available in the linked bank account.
This is why so many threads here recommend that you never cashout the paypal account completely. You never know what could happen and when.

I have had no problems with two echeck refunds. But because that scared the clapper, I now leave enough funds for one transfer....

All I am saying is keep control of your own account. Try to avoid letting PayPal fiddle with what is your wellbeing.

Issue with echeque + stealth account is funds are drawn from the bank account attached. When that happens the name on the account is revealed to PayPal. Whilst the ramifications of this aren't immediately apparent, it can bite you later on down the line and you'll be baffled at what caused it. Just consider the particular account flagged on PP's end.

I would also just message the buyer and let them know refund can take a little longer than usual as eCheques take a little while to clear.

Darn. So eBay now has the name on my bank account?
