Default Newbie Item Listing Quesion

quick newbie question:

If I'm selling on ebay.fr and my item is physically located in a fulfilment center in Spain, how much would it affect if I put in the ebay listing the item location: France and maybe mention in item description that item may be shipped from some other country as well?

1) What would customers think if they receive it from another country but they're ok and don't want to return?

2) How much of a chance for a negative review I get if the customer wants to return the item and sees that it's going to have to be shipped back to another country? ( I can't cover return costs as profit margins are slim )

Thanks.

You need to mention in your listing where the item is coming from....you need to let people know the item will be shipped from Spain. Also, you should mention it a few times in your listing because people who buy sometimes are just plain stupid.

Thanks for the advice. So you think it wouldn't be an issue if I put on ebay item location: France but I write in the item description ( a few time ) it may be shipped from Spain as well.

Should change the "Location" to France.

My final question: What should I do about returns, how to handle it?

Sorry, I don't really know what you have setup with your fulfillment center.

No, I meant the customer side of the problem. The fulfilment center accepts the products back. What/How should I put the problem in front of the client as he'll have to return the product to a different country than the one the item is listed to be from?(even though I mention in the item description the shipping could be done from Spain not only from France )

My experience, people can freak out if they think the item is coming out if the country especially if it mentions the item location in listing. Why do you not want to select the correct country in the listing?

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking if I put the country matching the ebay I'm listing on I'd attract more the customers?
Like item location: Italy for ebay.it, France for ebay.fr, Spain for ebay.es and so on?
I know esllers are doing good even when they list items shipping from China, but since my feedback is 0 I thought it would attract more the customers, at least in the beginning?
But on the other side the side effects could result in negative feedback....

As I've mentioned I'm new to the whole ebay game and even online selling... so I don't know the best course of action. I know that this question could look like asking for spoonfeeding but I thought I'd ask.

There are quite a lot of people who don't like seeing their item coming "from China" directly

Recommend being honest about the location no matter where you are listing.
