Default Bad experience with buyer

I sold a game for £30 on the 24th at 2pm, I have dispatch time within 2 days, but sent the item out this morning on the 25th with 1st class signed for delivery, so the eta was on the 1st, but will actualy arrive on the 27th. He has messaged me today the 25th asking where the item is, he then messaged me again saying why am I not answering him, even though only 5 hours has passed since his last message.

I mean what the hell? Is this guy just pure dumb, or is he trying to claw his money back?

To be honest, I know that you do get these customers every once in a while and you should just move on, but ahhh it's so frustrating, I just need somewhere to vent my anger I guess.

It is just as well that I sent this item signed for, because this would be a guaranteed full refund.

It would be good if ebay showed the returns percentage of the buyer on the sale page, so you could determine and have a rough idea how likely it could be for the buyer to lie and want a full refund. So if it's quite high you know to send it with confirmation, if it's zero or very low then you could get away without tracking, if it's a low priced item off course.

Would be good if I could hear any bad experiences you guys have had, I know this case isn't the worst, but it still damn annoying.

he might not be dumb or after his money - he might simply be an impatient person. Theres no shortage of people like that.
Venting wont help. What would help is handling this guy with a lot of patience and not lose it with him cause the worst thing that could happen is not lose the bit of money on the item - its to get a negative feedback.
And no chance of what you said happening. Ebay would never disclose that info for the same reason they dont allow us seller to leave negative feedbacks anymore. Its all about the buyers and making money for ebay.

Indeed, but if he wanted the game the very next day, then he should have checked the dispatch times and estimated arrival time, plus the fact that he sent a second message asking why i'm ignoring his messages.

In my opinion, you need to have a system in place where you have the ability to reply within a 30 minute period. For me, i have all the email accounts of my ebays connected to my phone and i have switched off 'Show incoming images'. This give me the ability to reply to customers there and then.

Respond to him, give him the tracking number and the USPS tracking details.

If it's been too long and he no longer wants the product he can refuse the shipment without opening the package, and when you get it back you can refund him and resell.
