Default Dealing with difficult buyers

I had an item listed as a buy it now and got a buyer asking how low i'd go. Before I could even answer they then purchased the item at full price, didn't even make an offer. Five minutes later they email asking me if the item is genuine. Why would you buy it and then ask that question? I have all original receipts but thats not the point and ebay won't care either way. I feel given the behaviour of this buyer so far, they'll likely wear the item and then try and return it and be a complete ball ache.

Whats the best possible situation here? If i cancel the order then it will count as a defect? The item is quite expensive so i don't really want someone wearing it for x amount of time and then returning it. Whats my best course of action?

The buyers that frustrate me are the ones that make an offer, I accept the offer, and then they never pay. Have to file it as Unpaid, wait forever for that to end before I can relist it. Such a hassle.

man this issue comes up alot... lots of bonehead buyers out there...

refund them. message them n make up a LEGIT excuse... block them....

IF they leave negative feedback you might be able to get it removed regardless...

I just put that there is an issue with the buyers address and the system cancels it.

Agree with dealagreeproceed. If they've paid already, refund them. Then message them with a legitimate reason of why items no longer available (made up of course). Proceed to block the user from any of your future listings. On the off chance that they decide to leave negative feedback, first try reaching out to them and explain how the items no longer available under uncontrollable circumstances, that it wasn't your fault. If that fails, try reaching out to CS to have feedback removed.
