Default What about having your phone CO. install a 2nd line? You'll have 2 phone #'s right?

If my phone company can install a second line in my house I will then have two different phone numbers. My main line, which obviously I cannot use because of my last account suspension, but a 2nd line that will have its own new phone number. Can I use that new number for my eBay only? Does anyone see any linkage if so?

Thanks for any feedback!

You can have a second phone line. Might be an outside chance of the phone number being associated with a suspended account. But if you go that way, then you just tell the phone company you want a number that has never been used B4. Also if you do that get it in writing from the phone company that this is a brand new number never used before: then if you have a problem later you can say, in complete innocence, 'it's a new number, how could it be associated with anyone else.'

I agree, get a tracfone or something.. you don't need a second line and all the expenses that come with it.

Magic jack will work too.. there are many options out there.

In the UK most people use BT (British Telecom) as their telephone provider.
You can get a second number without having a new line , it's called a CALL SIGN.
They give you an extra number on your line that rings with a different ring tone - Hence CALL SIGN.
This is cheap , BT only Charges an extra £ 1.75 a month for this service.

As far as i know getting extra phone lines in the same house is expensive , your lookin at about £ 100 - £ 170 to get an extra line installed.
Then there is the additional £ 10 a month for the line rental on the new line .
I would'nt reccomend it .

Once you have used your two original numbers simply ring BT and get them to change both numbers for FREE.
As far as i know they do not recycle numbers , the only dissadvantage of this system is that you have to wait up to 7 working days for the new numbers to be issuedto you via the mail.

I wonder if AU has anything like callsign at the moment? I can use some help with auss1e setup too. My original account got 'linked' falsely to another account btw, for logging in via an net cafe, no explaining to them though.

Thanks for all of the feedback! What I was speaking of was similar to the CALL SIGN. I would have a different number going into the same phone line that would have a different ring..its that simple and only $2 per month! However here it is called a TEEN LINE and they will also change your numbers for free if requested.
