Paypal Double Withdraw Bug 3/14 to 3/16 2017

I just hang up with PP after reviewing my account last night and noticing some crazy balance jump all over the place; such as for example a credit (previously an auth) into my account for $1000, right after the withdraw of $1000 but my balance went from 10K to 8000K (like the took twice the money even though it doesn’t show anywhere).

So, I called PP, get ahold of someone, explained the situation and to my surprise, he confirmed they had a “bug” between the 14th and the 16th which made duplicate charges in “some accounts” (who knows how many). WTF!

To my immediately question about on how on earth I haven’t received an email or a mere notification from them to make sure our accounts were not compromised, he told they were working on it.

So, if yesterday, I didn’t have enough spare time to spend and check my Activity Report, guess what? I am f#$%.

He checked all transactions from those 2 days and reimbursed me $3890! Thanks god I noticed it. So please go ahead and check those 2 days in our PPs to make sure it’s all good and they didn’t steal your money as they almost did to me.

Please note I have made those payments with the PP business debit card, not sure (they won’t say) if that happened as well with PP payments, etc.

Correct. On some transactions on those 2 days for some accounts they took double they supposed.

I called them about the same issue on the 14th but they blamed my bank.

Typical, error in their favour instead of ours!

Do you really think users would not THINK to call both PayPal or their bank to deal with their issues.
