Default All Good Things..............

This forum and the Stealth Book really changed my EBay experience. I went from constant suspensions and shutdowns to a good period of no hassle. Hoever, all good things come to an end.

For the last few weeks, PayPal has shut down accounts and of course, EBAY is now following suit. They are clearly integrated. The only still up is a PayPal business account. I used to think they were the easiest.

What tripped me up on PayPal? Could it be the fact that my PayPal accounts are all affiliated with different Bank of America Accounts? Could it be that I initially used Vumber numbers for these PayPal accounts? Or perhapr, more likley, my SmartHide web anonymizer gave me up as some of the ip addresses are foreign. Or is it these flash cookies I hear about? So questions for our experts:

1. I have a cable modem hookup. In english, what is the best way to change IP addresses for multiple accounts?
2. With Vumber down the tubes, what is the best way to get through EBay's verification?
3. What is the best PayPal alternative? Which method could I use without providing a SS #. Do I know how to go through the merchant verification or has the process changed?

As always, help is appreciated.

SmartHide is proxy and I heard accounts suspended for that.

Get AOL dial up, have separate user accounts and than you keep all your cookies. About phones, there may be better way..but I use track phones.
Best PP alternative is your own Merchant + Cartmanager or similar. You wont need to verify if you have pre 11/07 account left.
If you need to verify merchant than research the forums, you will get ideas. The same goes for ss#..

Dumb question?

Will AOl Dial-up work with a cable modem?

An I assume user files meaning user files for Windows XP.

No dial-up will not work with a cable. It is one or the other. Dial-up requires a phone modem...

I have a computer with an ethernet line to the cable modem. I assume all I have to do is pull it out and just plug a line from the modem to the phone jack (like the good old days)?

Yep, it is. Be aware that aol broadband has problems for our stealth purposes. aol dialup is fine. aspkin put a lot of work into checking & double checking the 'broadband' component. His recommendation is aol dial-up.
If you have not done so, read the ebay tracking sub-forum here. Lots of info.
Good Luck

i don't think aol broadband has any problems...the ip address is different then if you opened up windows explorer or firefox.

So if I purchase a USB modem, remove the ethernet cable, and plug the modem into the phone jack, will AOL Dialup work or are there steps I need to take?

Yes Ricky, it will give you new IP each and every time you dial up. I use my old rag Dell laptop for this purpose only. I can also use it on my other laptop, but I am too lazy switching the button between wireless and dial up.
