paypal asked me to upload my tax id but it is a stealth account

PS : i sold about 150 items total but for about 500$ total

You either provide what they want or stop using the account. This is why you should spread your sales.

Apply for a Tax ID number and put it in. When you apply for a tax ID number, make sure its a business account. Rent a PO box in that state, to get the paperwork to that PO Box where ever you placed the address. or just place the Tax ID number into it. The IRS will know that Tax ID number belongs to you because its linked to your SS#. Just get a tax ID number and put it in. PayPal isnt going to do anything. Its just to check to see if its a valid number and then you wont be bothered with it. Just dont use your name or name on the PayPal account. Make sure its a company name.

No way to avoid a tax id request, either give them tax information or use another account.

Ebay and paypal are smart about this. They are always looking for anybody that simply adds a new paypal to an existing ebay account. Most of the time they will catch and suspend you.

It's easy to get a Tax ID number, But will cost you around $200-250 to register the LLC. So up to you if it's worth the trouble. Depending on what you sell, if high risk, it will get limited again eventually.
