Default What computer to get to run 10-15 accounts at once?

How do people here run 10-15 accounts at the same time? What PC/computer are you guys using? I am using a standard desktop and it's getting super slow just having 4 user accounts!

What are the specs of your current computer such as Ram, CPU, Hard Drive space and so on?

You don't need an especially fast pc to run 10-15 accounts at a time. If your computer is 10 years old you may have a problem, but almost any standard PC nowadays can handle the task.

Hmm not a technie so I don't know TBH (or even how to look that up). I bought my PC 1 year ago. I might just get a new computer just for backup accounts, that way it doesn't slow down my main computer.

Download Speccy and post a screenshot of your summary page.

Having multiple user accounts should not slow down your PC. it sounds like you have other unrelated problems needing to be solved first.

If you don't mean at the same time literally and want something super fast and easy to use I'd suggest a Chromebook. I like to use my Chromebook a lot more than I like using my Lenovo ThinkPad with i7 processor and SSD running windows 7 and vmWare with multiple OS's and browsers. Maybe if I used a VPN for ip's I could appreciate the Lenovo more. For the basic set up (working off computer user accounts) I don't think anything could be more efficient, cost effective and faster than a upper mid-level Chromebook.

It makes it super easy to share and keep track of your info between accounts with chrome by sharing your spreadsheets, docs and folders. You have to wipe exif data by editing with pixlr editor or on your phone with an app before you upload photos. Printing is different too you have to use google cloud print which can only connect to one user account in the Chromebook.

If your talking about 4 user accounts in the computer... I have 12 on my Chromebook with a years worth of data and it hasn't even started thinking about slowing down yet.

I'm sure there are a lot of Chromebook haters out there. Just take it easy on me... It's only personal preference.

Any computer can do. You are not running all the accounts simultaneously. You finish one and go to another. You can easily create 100 users on a PC. One new user to a computer is literally one new folder in your C drive.

I'm just using a std Dell Desktop. I5 CPU, 8GB RAM, Windows 7. I have 10 user accounts. 3-4 logged on at the same time. Each account has it's own VPN (I don't know why I said that, it's not relevant). anyways.... It runs just fine.

I did have to upgrade from an older Dell (9100/9150 series) because they only supported 4GB of RAM and that's just not enough. That's the most important part....RAM.

4 user accounts should be nothing.

Your problem may be not logging off the user account when you're done. Make sure all user accounts are logged off from the one you are using.

Having more than one user account logged in at a time is what usually starts slowing things down.

I've had that many accounts on my iMAC. But recently it took its toll and I had to delete dead accounts off the hard drive. The partitions were wreaking havoc on my hard drive.

If I had to point to one thing you need to focus on, it would be the RAM. It is critical to have good RAM or the browsers will start crashing and other task will be affected.

I'm a lazy pos and I just clear my cache and run CCleaner and switch ips and log in to my next store. I'm mildly OCD and clear my browser history on most things nightly as is.

I use my MacBook Pro to run most stores.
