Default Item sent to argos item not there but seller has tracking that it was delivered

I bought an item to be sent to argos (click and collect )

Checked with Argos they are saying theyv not recived it

Seller has tracking info saying it was delivered

what do i do now ?

If it were me I'd ask the seller for the name of the person who signed for it along with the date and time of delivery. Take this information back to Argos and see if the item can be located.

Also double check you requested delivery to the correct Argos store. Many towns / cities have more than one store.

The seller sent me the argos code number i took that down to argos and they had it on there system ,,so it was the right branch ,but they said its still not arrived

Iv checked the tracking and it does say delivered two weeks ago

looks like argos staff has nicked it

There is no chance to win if you open up a case with eBay. Your best chance is to file a claim with usps or Argo and see off u can get your package back or a refund.

sending to argos option has never gone wrong for me, but I sometimes think it is another extra step after postage, so more chance of it going wrong...

so you are the buyer, it is up to the seller to get it to you, just be reasonable, as it is not their fault, but you need to ask for your money back, and start a case if they will not. It is an unusual case but if it was not picked up by buyer, you would get your money back, so it should be the same scenario, you have not picked it up, just get some proof via email from argos and forward it to the seller and/or ebay CS message.

The proof may also help the seller claim from argos, as they will get no help from RM, if it shows as delivered.

Yes be reasonable with the seller, he prob thinks your trying it on..
Has anyone used argos as a a way to buy things on an act instead of putting seperate delvery address in? do you neeed photo id for picking up parcel from argos? or just id?

Ebay will automatically close this case in the sellers favour unless they have set up a new auto rule with argos being a 3rd party that I dont know about.
You need to take this up with Argos.

There's a lot of speculation (false information) going around in this thread.

Contact eBay (dont waste time with seller and/or Argos). A specialist department will be assigned who will contact Argos on your behalf. Investigation will commence. They'll then be in touch to reimburse you.

I don't use this service, but if I recollect correctly - the buyer doesn't even get the collection code until Argos puts it through their system. As such, you are covered.
