ID keeps failing to verify when uploading to Coinbase

Been trying for nearly 10 days to verify my ID onto Coinbase, took pictures, did the upload, but it keeps on failing verification, I'm taking the pictures in good light and using chrome, iphone. I cant understand what the problem is, can anyone please help me

I took a picture of the front of the passport and it keeps on failing!!

Are you using the mobile app? or their online interface?

I find the mobile app works better for verification/signup.

I haven't tried much with Coinbase other than with my main account.. last I remember they were a little tougher than PayPal.

They go a little too far with the KYC rules but with so many scammers trying to get on the platform I don't blame them.

Send them an email *they respond usually pretty quick

Pictures taken on phone, then they send you an link to your phone, where you click and then you can add upload the ID, it then goes to the PC which shows the status of the verification - which keeps on failing.

Emailed Coinbase, they did not answer the question

Just to confirm this is your real ID?

Yes real ID, you need to take a picture of the front cover of your passport and the inside with your picture and it keeps failing on the both.

I did that process again literally 2 months ago and I remember it not being so easy.

Try using your drivers license. Avoid glare etc.

I've things are getting more difficult for the US. Not sure how the UK is treated. I got onto Coinbase fairly early so have never had any restrictions. Just like Amazon Gating off brands and grandfathering people in it goes to show why its so important to become and early adopter.
