Can someone please tell me how to refund someone?
This is ridiculous.
A buyer of mine paid me directly through paypal, he didn't like the item and asked for a return, which i accepted. He then also opened a paypal dispute for "item not as described".
I received the item back OK.
Now when i log into paypal i do NOT have the option to refund the buyer anymore in the original transaction page. I do have the option for other transactions i received.
So i go into the dispute and i have 2 options..
1. MAKE A OFFER
2. ESCALATE TO PAYPAL.
I choose "MAKE A OFFER" and i have to input the amount i want to refund, so i input the FULL amount. Paypal indicate that i will receive £3 something in fees back (even though the original fees were £4 something!). So i continue and i had 2 further options which i can't remember what they were now, but i think they were...
1. Ask buyer to return the item for a refund.
2. Offer a part exchange.
So i choose the first option.
Buyer accepts the request.
Now i get a green message saying:
"buyer has accepted your offer. The refund will be held in your account until the buyer returns the item and you approve it".
Ok. Now the issue is..
1. Buyer has already returned it and i've received fine.
2. There is no button to "APPROVE" it.
Right now this is not looking good, because the funds are on HOLD and the buyer is getting increasingly frustrated and he must think im lying or something.
He's called paypal who told him that i must use paypal as the main source for refund and it will be automatic. This is lies, the money is already on hold by paypal! i dont have the money anymore.
Can someone please tell me how the hell do you refund?????
