I started to get emails from paypal every shipment saying "paypal could not validate tracking number", which is putting the funds on hold over 21 days. The orders are all over 100.00 each. Only when I use fedex. Using same original address to ship these. It started when I changed the paypal address and changed it back again.

It won't do this on usps shipments. I can't get them to validate it. Tried everything.

I called them and they put me through to a department that deals with tracking, the girl just asked me if it had a tracking number, I said no, she asked why and I said not worth it to little value to warrant it. Then I said that I had had positive feedback from the buyer on eBay. And she said that's fine thanks and the issue went from awaiting a response to disappearing off the list after I refreshed. Still didn't lift the 21 day hold though.

The question that comes to mind is: are you printing your shipping labels through eBay? Or are you printing them directly through PP?

Which ever one you are doing, try the other and see what the results are.

I'm printing the Fedex labels through ebay.
It's about 12 transactions for over 300.00
I tried messaging every customer to leave feedback and only one did it, and the hold has still been on it, after several days of them leaving feedback.
I think its a glitch. The only time it didn't do this was with a USPS address.
That's because the only two labels you can't print off paypal are UPS and USPS. Even when a buyer started a return, they still won't acknowlege a fedex tracking number. They've all been delivered.

I have 2.2k locked up and they will simply never release the funds even with feedback. Some of them are way past delivered + 21 days.

Not so much ignoring you as shunning you.

What does the tracking show when you put it into Fedex yourself?

Why use Fedex if they're a problem? Why not switch to USPS?

They may be shipping it by transferring it to USPS, so the tracking isn't updating or the number doesn't work because USPS delivered it not Fedex.

Why can't they put the number in the Fedex site themselves at PP when you call and confirm it arrived?

The fedex tracking numbers all auto-populate in paypal but there's a little question mark next to each one saying not- validated. I'm shipping boat motor lower units that are between 55-60lbs and 350-400.00 each. Can't use USPS. The boxes are 48 x 32 x 24. Nobody can afford UPS. What Fedex charges is like 50.00 for the same shipment UPS charges 150-175.00.
Fedex picks up boxes this heavy at my house for free. UPS charges like 18.00 per pickup. Now I have 12 shipments like this sitting there. Its a glitch. Please stop shunning me and start helping me.

1. How old is your account?
2. On what country it is made? USA?
3. You are saying you are having 2,200 USD on it? from ebay sales? how old is your ebay account?

I have received 3 or 4 Invalid Tracking Emails this month.

I resolved all of them yesterday.

I simply typed the the tracking number into Paypal, left it a few minutes, and then checked to see if Valid appeared next to the number in Paypal.

If it said Invalid, I typed it in again, and so on....

The acct is 2 months old but I was getting funds released 3 days after the items were delivered until I changed the address on pp and changed it right back.
When I go to update the fedex shipping label I still get an email saying Paypal cant validate it. So I am sending USPS envelopes to these customers with various gaskets or seal kits that go with the units and when they are delivered it will clear the funds because paypal only seems to let you print labels for USPS or UPS.

best solution I found in these forums for this situation. Tried everything you recommended.

1.
Changing your address on PayPal is a RED signal, if your account is also new you can except an limitation.

2.

I would stop making sales on an account that get holds, unless required. Like "make 5 sales in 60 days". Having holds is just a sign PayPal does not trust you. You pass over that limit and you end up with a 180 days strike

What does Fedex say when you call them? Can they tell you where the package is?

Can you conference them in with PP, or get a rep's number so PP can speak with them? Ask to escalate to a supervisor with authority to make a release.

Worst case, I suppose the funds will release at 21 days. How long has it been?

Ooh, just saw the address change note. That is trouble, don't do that again, but the validation issue probably isn't related to that.

PP is pretty direct, they'll just tell you they're holding your money and if you don't like it they don't care.

Try calling Fedex.
