I just read (article in 9to5Mac) that Paypal handles $7 million every hour. Just thought it'd be an interesting number to share here... That is a LOT of money. What is the average fee they take on that you think? Is it 3%....?

Not surprised.
The company makes billions every year. Theyre dominant in the industry.
Wonder if the emergence of cryptocurrencies will have any impact on this in the future. I know that in my line of business Im taking a lot less paypal payments than I used to.

Imagine where there are no limitations, private, global, low fees there are just some cryptos offer.

Both seem very similar in many ways. I wont be surprised if there was a merge in a few years.

What people need to understand that the PayPal limitations people are pissed about have really little to do with PayPal themselves. It's more about Visa/MC/AMEX/DISC agreements, in short CHARGEBACKS.
180 days represents the time window a dispute can occur with a credit card.
In a perfect world where chargebacks or disputes (the ability to chargeback funds) did not exist, they would be little need for a limitation. They are there so PayPal can protect themselves against potential fraud.
There is also this buyer "Money Back Guarantee" on eBay's marketplace so it's shoppers feel protected.

Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk | Since when did the OP say ebay, the OP only said paypal, and ebay and paypal are two different companies now. They split some time ago. So paypal still keeps around 3% of all transactions.
