Activity: 0% Longevity: 81% | | Safe way to withdraw $5000??
I just received a $5000 payment for an ebay auction. The funds are on hold until I ship/deliver the order. I'm wondering if there's a safe way to withdraw the 5k without getting my account limited. I'm supposed to ship out the item Monday but I'm kind of hesitant because I'm afraid my funds are gonna get held 180 days.
Please let me know if there's a safe way to withdraw.

Congratulations on the huge sale.
Condolences on the huge sale. :(
You CAN'T withdraw. It's under a hold. You're not going to get the money until they've received the item and left positive feedback or until 21 days goes by, and maybe not even then.
If you don't ship they'll open a case and get their money back.
If you do ship and they're scammers you'll lose your money AND possibly your item.
Get through this and THEN worry about transferring the money out. You could always do it a few hundred at a time over 20 or 30 days, OR you could buy new inventory, OR you could get a PP debit card and spend it that way ( if it's not stealth, if it is don't try that ).
But right now you're counting your chickens before they're hatched.

The way to go about it will depend on the account itself.
How old is the account? What sort of activity has it seen in its lifetime?
Need more info.

Just remember, DO NOT TRY TO WITHDRAWAL THE FULL AMOUNT IN ONE WITHDRAWAL

I would say at least 10-12 safe withdrawals.

I agree. Around $500 on my aged accounts have been golden. I have yet to be limited from a withdrawal so I am hesitant to go higher than that.

I've had the account for a month. I'm going to deliver the item monday because it's to heavy for shipping. I'm just scared I won't see any of the funds for 180 days. I marked item as shipped already in agreement with the buyer so the funds will be available on June 26th according to ebay. I think I'll try 10 or more small withdrawals...I thought I was gonna be limited for sure when I received the payment.

Oh no. PP only accepts tracking for proof of delivery.
If he claims he never got it you won't be able to prove it was delivered. You'll loose 5K in one shot.

On a one month old account???
DO NOT FORGET TO ADD SIGNATURE REQUIRED AND INSURANCE.
I'm 99% sure that eBay/Paypal requires sellers to add sig required for orders over $250.

OP mentioned the account is only a month old so I doubt anything ahs been done on it.
I agree with others - I see this going bad in all sorts of ways the way its being handled so far.

Stop being such a pessimist, I do this ALL THE TIME, I just leave a note and put it on their front porch. What could go wrong?!
Next you are going to tell him 180 days is not a long time... |

It has just luckily worked for you. You're going to get beat at some point with a large purchase I can almost guarantee it.

| Please keep the stupidity at bay, 180 days has nothing to do with this....yet.

The item weighs tons. I'm a truck driver so I decided to deliver it on my route. I don't believe there's anyway to get tracking for the item. If I could have just shipped it, I would have but I can't.
I'm gonna try to withdraw in increments of $500 or less.

OP, I would get CASH if you are going to deliver it.... The buyer can pull a CHARGEBACK once they get the item and they have 180 days to do so.... I would at least get a valid ID from the buyer for that amount...
Good luck
