Smile Hello Everyone. I'm new and have a question.

Someone told me that if you list your ebay auctions through auctiva instead of directly on ebay that your ip address remains hidden from ebay. Does anyone know if this is true? I find it hard to believe since ebay really wants to track users. Has anyone ever done it or know if it is true?

Thank you all.

Welcome to the forum, bigbluemacaw.
Yes,auctiva can be used to list on ebay after you generate a token on a new IP address. This kinda jumps ahead of what you might know. Have you read anything on the forum yet? There are lots of posts that help explain exactly how to do everything.

Have a read of the forum and post questions iin the other threads so we can help you.

We really don't know Gurusgrafx. What worries me is that this is one thing Ebay did not resort to new remedy yet, so I wouldn't be surprised their spies asking lots of questions on this. One day we may log into Auctiva and find out we are screwed yet again...Hope it doesn't happen though..

Good point! And I have asked myself the same question. Is there a way that the Administrators can find out if there are "outsiders" asking questions within our own "little world" here on the forum. Sorry for being off topic bigbluemacaw.

Come on you guys! don't be so paranoid! Im just like everyone else trying to stay ahead of ebay. Don't want to get suspended. Anyway, don't you think ebay is already watching this site?

Yea, they are watching, all right. But a lot of more sensitive info is accessed only by VIPs, and they would have to have over 200+ posts for that....Well, even that is not 100% safe, but less likely Ebay & paypal spies will stick around long enough, I hope. So, when someone brand new to the forum asks questions like a pro from the get go, may seem suspicious. We ain't that stupid..LOL!

Yes Waterproof! I am sure our Administrators have the way, so to me this is comforting. And, I am sure that even members in VIP forums don't know about that. If so, I can only hope it stays that way!

Just look what happened to 21 day hold trick! Right about the time it didn't work any more, there was an invasion of new members entering the forum and asking bunch of questions on the issue.

Just a quick correction, Lyda. As soon as you become a subscribed member to the forum you are a VIP, you're referring to Executive. :D

Lyda, If we can hide ourselves and trick ebay I'm sure they can do the same here with a lot more ease.
