Any particular reason you can think of that this happened? Were there any outstanding disputes you initiated or anything like that?
Whatever the case may be - its always nice to see that sort of message and its rare enough to get any good news from paypal so enjoy.

Somebody is going to come look for it at some point I'd guess, so don't get spend-happy for a year or two.

It's a dead stealth account so I'm not too worried about the repercussions and more so on just getting the funds into my account. If someone at Paypal did make a mistake I'm certainly not going to call up and question it.

I bet this is from a timed-out hold for case or suspension. You say it is old account? Was it banned with a balance and 180 day hold?

Permanently limited under 18 and I won a case but not for this amount so I really don't know where it's from. Also the money from the case is still pending withdrawal and this is completely different.

I checked the account as soon as I got the email and it was indeed in my balance.
