Any particular reason why a brand new seller would be a higher ranking in searchs than one of my accounts when it has TRS and power seller status? surely TRS will outrank?

Always comes down to the listing price and good product title from personal experience...

Brand new accounts always get a boost in my experience.

If new sellers were drowned out their items won't sell and they wouldn't bother listing again.

I know how you feel about this, as have same problem. Is the other seller using a private account rather than your business TRS account? If so private sellers always seem to achieve higher results in search for same items even after selling only a few items. In theory TRS should always achieve higher rankings but hey we are talking about ebay and nothing makes sense there Lol.

Try logging into the TRS account and search your own items, I bet you see them ranked higher than if you do same search from another computer when not logged in. Maybe I'm being paranoid but when logged in Ebay always seem to show your own listings near top of search results. Maybe it gives sellers the feeling they are getting a better deal for the extortionate fees ebay are charging us all.
