It would be a bonus if the n00bz would stop telling the even-n00berz that they can expect to get ripped on. Ripping hardly ever happens until somebody points a finger, and it is the finger pointer that then gets targeted.
I've seen no lack of welcome to the new users and I've seen no lack of answers being provided for the b'zillionth time. Every once in a while, somebody says go search. Maybe because that particular topic has been asked about 2 dozen times that day and 1000 times in the past. Maybe certain questions have answers that can easily be found with one eye tied behind the back.
I see at least one person in this thread that could really use the search feature more often, and a little less complaining.
So, if you get ripped, consider maybe not pointing fingers (?). Hmmm?!?
Also, if somebody DOES point out that a forum search WOULD have answered the question, do a search and see if that allegation is correct. If a search WOULD have done it, then fair dinkum, and zip it. Otherwise, just answer the question yourself and call it good, with no further editorial or barbed comments.
