Verizon Mifi 2200 - reflashed - slow as ever

Just got my 2200 nove re-flashed and its slow as ever. As in 1 page per 2 minute slow.


Anyway to speed it up? The guy I used offered to flash it (again) but I dont feel that will solve the issue.

Every other time I got it flashed it was MUCH faster.

Any suggestions?

What is your signal like? Could you be limited to GPRS?

Could it be an issue with the device itself? Do you have another device to compare it to?

I never liked the 2200 Mifi's......

I used one for 2 years without any problems then one day I started to get 1x signal and super slow speeds. I guess they just stopped working for some areas of the county.

I would use VPNs!

Have the guy reflash it, it might help.

Mine works fine. It's actually pretty fast too.

Got to get the one where it shows the signal bars. Either use the flashed phone or the jetpack that has signal. I used the one without it, had no idea the area I was at had only 3 bars, and that made it really slow.

If you are using 3G, definitely it's going to be slow. Get 4G when you can...

I had to try several places in my house before I found the "Sweet Spot". Of all places, my laundry room provides the fastest speeds.

Also I noticed the Mifi is slightly slower on weekends and nights.

I purchased mine on August 1, 2015 and it's still going strong without a reflash.

I'm using the same exact model you have.

Im going to try to have it reflashed.

It was working great up until verizon nerfed it. And when the guy reflashed it, I got a new number on the mifi and it was just so slow. I inquired as to why the number changed and he said it was the only way to get it to work?

Ill do it tomorrow and the guy agreed to do it again.
