Smile Listings in GBP & USD Currency

Dear friends, I have a question and I hope knowledgeable people will help me in his decision.
I am a seller on ebay.com
I saw from one seller two completely identical listings with the same name and the same description.
The difference between these listings is in currency. One listing is GBP another in USD. Listings are created in one day.

Question: The listings have different sales.
Listing in GBP currency sold 100 items
The listing in USD currency sold 50 products

Why did the listing in GBP sell more? And how did he make a listing in GBP currency on American ebay?

Please understand correctly I did not understand this question and forgive if this is a stupid question. I hope that you guys will help me understand this moment.

Thank you very much for your answer. And if I'm on ebay.com in the listing I will indicate Additional eBay site: ebay UK?

you have to register on UK site and list through that site
also, if you don't have 10 or 20 (not sure how many they require today) feedbacks, ebay wont let you to list on other sites than ebay.com.

Many thanks for the answer dear quest.
I expected this option but did not know if it could be done.
So if I'm a seller on ebay.com, I just need to go to ebay.co.uk under my name which I registered on ebay.com and do listings on ebay.co.uk in GBP currency?
