Ebay obviously grabs your IP address when you log in. Does it capture it at any other point. Just say you login to ebay and then your IP address changes while logged in, can eBay catch that?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
I logged in thru my phone and for some reason the phone connection dropped after I logged in and started showing my routers address. I was only in eBay for about a minute when this happened. How would they know the IP address changed? I thought they only recorded it at login.
Just be sure the new IP is logged in and not a duplicate.
In the future, set your wifi settings to not connect automatically to any particular signal, and if it drops again you'll just lose signal and have the option to make a choice what to do instead of it searching for an IP you don't control.

Its been an adventure, sometimes I login with my phone and everything is ok. Today it was dropping every couple of minutes, but like you said I turned off Wifi from the computer..... FYI, I think they the only way eBay checks for IP address is when you do something that requires a token, so simply browsing with a suspended IP address will not be caught.
Is it true that eBay will stop cross referencing a suspended IP after a few months? Also yes my phone logs the same IP address each time I login.
