Does a credit card gift card work for stealth etsee

Wondering if instead of spending $ on a VCC with no money on it can i just buy a credit card gift card from the drug store and actually use it to pay my etsee bill for a couple of months instead of spending $15 CAD on a VCC w/no cash on it

I've done it. I always get the kind where I can put in the name and address and match the ID to my stealth ETY account, but I don't know if even this is necessary, I usually just operate with an excess of caution.

Cards do not have to match name, Etsy can not see what name is written on card.
