They sell them for $200 at AT&T. On eBay, most iphones are expensive ones and are unlocked iphones which can be done merely for a bit of work instead of the high price. But $700 is higher than I've seen. I don't know why you paid that much.

Well PayPal totally acted against their policy and ripped you off. You know I'm finding stuff like this and I think certain buyers and sellers have friends at eBay or bribe people or something.

If you paid with a credit card, call your company and file a chargeback for an item not received

If you paid by bank account, try opening a dispute with your bank.

Did you call paypal?

Default same here

The same thing happen with me and paypal settled in favor of the other person. Paypal said that its the fault of the reciver for not accepting the package. But anyways i had to call the person serveral times and threaten him with filing a police report and i was serious. So the person refunded my money because he knew i had all his personal information. Try threating him with a police report and mean it.

I think the main problem is that paypal doesnt cover iphones. I was told this once by a guy when I inquired about purchasing them. He said it was because there is only one legit (now 3 i think) places to buy an iphone so they know if youre paying $700 for one it been unlocked and the warranty invalid. I know apple paid a crapload of money to keep that thing so exclusive so whats to stop them from saying to paypal anyone that sells one and doesnt get one rule against them so nobody buys them.

Unhappy

I bet they "Side with Seller" if seller manages to withdraw the money. PayPal would refund it if they had the sellers money in thier system, if they don't than a refund would come out of PayPals pocket and that's not gonna happen.

Dont think that is true. Even when they side with the buyer if the selller doesnt have any money in the account you just get the he doesnt have sufficient funds. You will get your money when he does blah blah. The money never comes out of paypal's account.

Wait this is confusing. Im not understanding what he did. Are you saying he sent it to your post office and htey sent it back or that he sent it to a random address

why would he send it to some random address
why not just keep the iphone and your money
if you've been scammed open a dispute
the seller will provide some random tracking number and see what happens
why would you pay such a high price for the iphone in the first place

I was wondering the same thing.

King maybe that's true, even if it is you can still get one for around $400 on ebay. Who knows why he would pay that much!

How would the OP 'know' that it got sent to the wrong address? Bit
strange.

Snagga obviously you would see them selling for that much on ebay if the OP bought one for $700! I am saying I have seen many for $400, so why buy one for that much.
