Default Verifying paypal business accounts

Hey,
I just found this forum yesterday by searching for "verifying paypal account voip" on google. And I have already done tons of reading here.

I am from Canada and I would like to open a couple stealth paypal account in the US, Canada and maybe other countries. And I was hoping I could get a couple answers from the pros:D

1. SSN
Is it possible to open a US business paypal accounts without providing a SSN? What's the big deal with SSN? What happens if you don't provide it?

2. SIN (Canadian)
Right now, I only have a valid Canadian business account, that I had for 3 years. I don't remember that I provided my SIN number. Does paypal ask for your SIN number in Canada?

3. Address
When I verified my address with paypal 3 years ago, I don't remember seeing the option to use your phone to verify your address. Is this a recent addition? Is it possible to use voip to verify your address? I am guessing that skype would definitely not work to verify your address, since ebay, paypal and skype are basically the some company, correct?
Also what about MagicJack? Or prepaid cell phones? Or is there anything else that you can use?

4. UPS postal box
What about providing a UPS postal box as your address. Is that allowed? Could you use a UPS postal box to verify your address?

5. Virtual US bank accounts
I have found services, that offer Virtual US bank accounts for paypal verification. Would it be possible to use this service to verify your US paypal account, and then add a real Canadian bank account to withdraw money?
Or could you just use a Canadian bank account for verification?

6. Credit Cards
Now Credit Cards, what is recommended? VCC? Prepaid? Entropay?

Thanks

as no one has replied yet, I will say that ssn is not needed upon sign up but may be asked for at a later time eg limitation. Same with SIN in canada, may ask for it later..

there are specific threads on virtual lines, that should help

UPS is ok, but dont make it look like a box number

for US accounts you can only use US bank, if you can get a US account thats fine, again those sites that promise you a US account, should be treated with caution.

dont think entropay is an option, simon, walmart cards, again see the threads for speciifics..

A good friend of mine is letting me upgrade his Paypal account that was started in 2002 to a business account.

Hope this helps.

Did anyone notice where it asks for bank account info? It's asking for name associated with bank account? ????

I have a business account from last year and they ask the same questions when applying for a premier account - the difference being your business name.

I tried to open one 2 weeks ago and the want everything upfront - your ein/social and....

Do they ask for your EIN and Social at the same time, or do they give you option of one or another? Seems to me that PaYpal is working hard on not getting new accounts and limiting old ones, just like Ebay.

You dont need to give them the real name associated with the bank account. I dont know whats going on with everyone elses account. A seller has many business paypals open with no hoops to jump through at all. Nothing out of the normal.

They give you the option of providing one or the other up front for business accounts now. - I think its interesting since they can limit us on a premier account and only ask for ssn - why not option with ein also?

Yea, its not a big deal to get EIN, so we'll be opening business paypals when we need one in the future..just more work added to remain stealth. At least they didn't make it impossible, so that's good news.

Actually, I don't think that's accurate.

I think PP is just trying to convey how "quick and painless" it is to confirm the information.

Note where my screen cap reads, "Why should I verify my information?"

It almost seems to me that PP is requesting us to verify and not demanding us? *shrug*

Also FWIW, I have not yet been asked for a SS# or TAXID# (aka EIN).

I have a few high dollar auctions listed ATM and the biggest one is $2600. When signing up for the business account PP asked what our average sale price was and I choose the $1000-2000 option just to be safe. Hopefully that means that the account won't get limited as easily???

BTW, if anyone wants to get a TAXID# (EIN), I recommend LegalZoom: Online Legal Document Services: LLC,Divorce,Wills,Incorporation & More! With their help I am now the President, VP, Treasurer and Secretary of my very own S-corporation. In retrospect I wish I had gone LLC, but oh well. I was really pleased with their service. FYI, it cost me around $500 to incorporate in NM.

Thanks for clarifying this Inverser. PayPal does time you on certain things though, like they give yoy few hours to enter verification number or something..or few days, I can't remember, but it happened to me.
